Baby Plum Headed Parakeet (Psittacula cyanocephala) Available! Plum Headed Parakeets are native to the Indian Subcontinent. As they mature, male Plum heads develop a vibrant pinkish-purple face and head. A mature female will develop a very pretty greyish-purple face and head. Plum Heads make a fantastic “starter bird”. They are very social, sweet and playful. They are not considered to be a very loud species. They also tend to do well with other birds. A plum head would do well in a dynamic household, they tend not to be a high-stress species. That said, all species require tons of love and attention in order for them to trust you. At Queen Bird we focus on education, nutrition, and conservation. We work very hard to help educate our customers on parrot companionship.
