Baby Cape Parrot (P. robustus) Available! Cape Parrots are a member of the genus Poicephalus and they are native to Africa. They are absolutely gorgeous. Females will maintain an orange head as they mature, males will molt into a beautiful silver head. They are slightly smaller than a Congo African Grey, and they make outstanding companions. They are funny, outgoing, and curious. They have the potential of becoming great talkers if you work with them. They are not known to be as emotionally demanding as some other species, but still require lots of time and commitment. At Parrot Stars we focus on education, nutrition, and conservation. We work very hard to help educate our customers on parrot companionship. Prior to taking a bird home, we will provide information on proper housing, creating a safe environment, diet, behavior, hormones and much more. No question will go uswered. Every hand fed baby is weaned on to a high variety diet.
